The Pretender Final Cut

This is the final cut of our music video, we have made many changes from the first time we had been given feedback from the screenings. The video used to be in colour, which when then later changed into black and white. We also added a lot of close-ups into the video to make it seem more fast paced as we wanted to create a sense of panic and danger throughout the video.

Here is our newest version of our music video. We decided that we wanted to remove the blank spaces at the end of the video and add some footage of the band playing, we did this as we thought it looked like the blank spaces were errors in the video. We also want to change some of the video slightly by fixing the sync of the singing at the end as it is a little off. We also want to fix the sync with the clapping and make it so the shot of the bridge at the end isn't as long as it is.

This is the sixth draft of the music video, we decided to add all of our close-ups that we had that we never used so that we could have more band parts to fit in with the narrative. We wanted to make the video more balanced, to do this adding the close-ups helped make it more balanced.

This is the fifth draft of the music video, here we made some more changes in cutting the video to make it seem more faster and smoother. We wanted the music video to become more clear in the narrative and we also want to fit in enough band parts. We still need to balance it out more so that the video is more clear and smoother.

This is the fourth draft of the music video, here we have edited the clips that we filmed together. We went out and filmed some more narrative parts and completely reshot all of our band performance again, we adjusted to see if it was again. We still need to go and film our band parts again, because we need a lot more specific shot.

This is the third draft of the music video, here we have edited the clips that we filmed together. We went out and filmed some more narrative parts and added more of our band parts. We still need to go and film our band parts again, because we need a lot more specific shot. We also turned the music video into black and white as we thought it worked well with the theme of our video and the genre. It also links well with our posters and digipaks.

Second Music Video Draft

This is the second draft of the music video, here we have edited the clips that we filmed together. We went out and filmed a narrative part and our band part some more as we thought that it would need an improvement as we only had one camera angle from it. 

First Music Video Draft

Here is the first draft of our music video which is actually just the first take that we did, there isn't any editing done to it. The video is just a shot of us playing the music, later on we will edit this into our video, we just have to get the narrative shots and put them into the video. We also assume that later on we will have to film the band shots again to get it from different angles.

Focus Group Recording

Locations: The locations that we have chosen that we might film in are an abandoned area, a forest, a marsh, a recording studio and a stage.

Costume: The costumes that we have chosen are casual clothes, skinny/baggy jeans, dark colours, hoodie and worn down shoes.

Photographer: The photographer that we have chosen is Nathan Hogben, he has experience in taking pictures since he takes up photography as an A-Level.

Actors: The actors that we have chosen are us, which is: Ben, Louis, Jonathan and Terry.
