This is the feedback from my first digipak draft. There are a lot of good points and points that say what my work can be improved on. Some feedback is saying that the pictures were too dark but that was just because of the screen it was being presented on. I will still however decide to change the brightness of my digipak in case it wasn't the screen and it could happen again. Another point that I was given was telling me that I needed to switch around the front cover and the left cover since the left cover looked more professional and what a front cover should look like. I will go on and change the digipak layout around so it makes more sense and can please the audience's feedback. My track listing needs to be developed I will change it so it looks more like a real track list on a digipak. Instead of lyrics on my inside cover it needs to be a lyrics book, which I might remove and add a second disc instead so that it can fulfill my promise of a bonus disc. I also got feedback on my disc saying it needs to be edited, which I will get around to making it link with the rest of my digipak. I will take all of this feedback into consideration and make my second draft a lot better than the first one, so that it can please the audience.

Digipak First Draft
Digipak Draft Creation
This is the digipak creation stage, here you can see all parts of the digipak form when I started creating it. The images are laid out in a weird order but it starts from the second to right at the top going right. You can see the stages from where I began putting in images from our test shots along with some text which is usually seen in most normal digipaks.
Studio Shots
Here are some more photo-shoots that we had done. This time it was done in a studio in the school, this is to show more of the locations that we are going to be using for our music video. It also shows the band actually using instruments which is usually a main part in rock genre music videos. We also began shooting in the studio, however we are not sure whether we like the videos or not so we are going to film again but this time in a drama room as it means that we can have more room to film, since that was a big issue using the studio. It also means that we can set up a stage and try and capture everything how we imagined.

Pitch Feedback
Here is what everyone said about our pitch. Overall I think that our pitch went really well, there were some parts that could be improved on, however most of the feedback agrees that all of the work that we had created over the last month has turned out really good. We will be presenting the pitch again so we will have to use what we was given in here and put it into our actual presentation. Some good feedback was that we had good analysis of the original video and our test shots were looking good. Our logo was praised a lot in the feedback along with the band name and song choice. Some parts that people found confusing was narrative, this might of been because of the animatic. Even though the animatic links well with beat of the song, trying to follow the story is proven quite hard when you watch it. We also forgot to add a Goodwin's analysis of our own music video, so this is another thing that we will do next time.

Group Pitch
Here is our presentation for our music video pitch. Here we have all the work that we had been working on for the last month into one presentation. We decided to showoff the song choice that we made and we put an detailed analysis about it. We put in the audience profiling that we had created along with our mood board since they linked together. We also put the story-boarding and animatic that we created since both of them also link together. The location and photo-shoot shots and the final logo idea were again also in our presentation, this is to show off the rest how far we have come so far. It also allows them to tell us what we need to add and what could be improved.

Animatic
This is the animatic for our music video. We took pictures of all of our storyboards and then individually print screened each section that we needed; after we had done that we took the song choice of 'The Pretender' and edited it together with the pictures using final cut pro. This is our first attempt of making an animatic, we all felt that it worked well with timing the music to each shot, however some parts can be confusing if you don't know the context.
Storyboards
These are our storyboards. After analysing all of the lyrics we then decided to put it into our storyboard. We all chose the best ideas from our lyric analysis and thought about how that could be implemented into our storyboard. The next stage that we are going to take is animating the storyboard and turning it into and animatic by linking it with our song choice.
Final Logo
This is the Logo that we all decided on, combining a font that found and likes with the statue of liberty since it links to our name. We also made the flame light blue to represent ice, which again represents the cold part of our name. We wanted to try and link to logo to name as much as possible so that when people see the logo it will make them instantly know who the band is.

Band Logo
These are the three Logo choices that we came up with. They all have the same image in the background however, the font's are different in each one and they are also in different locations around the picture.
The Logo we decided to go for was the middle one, we felt it looked the best out of the rest and the font also fits well with the image in the background of the statue of liberty.
Font survey
We took another survey to get peoples on opinion on the font that we should use. The font is important as it will be shown in our digipak's, posters and logo. Even though we have a lot of votes on a certain one, we are still not sure if we like it ourselves so we are looking into this more and trying to research more fonts that could look go for our band.

Thanks For The Memories Analysis
At the start of the music video there is a long shot of two bang members talking to each other. It then cuts to a long shot of the whole band assuming position. The lead singer Patrick Stump is interrupted by a Chimpanzee which then shows a medium shots of each member of the band looking annoyed. The video becomes a bit confusing at this part and gives the audience the feeling that the Chimpanzee's are in charge since they are controlling the camera and sitting in the director and producer chairs. When the music video actually starts the the first shot that is shown is another medium shot of the Patrick Stump. The next shot after that is two chimps controlling a camera.
Throughout the whole the music the it switches between shots of chimpanzee's taking over the set and using the camera's and dressing room, to shots of the band performing on set watching this all happen. Some match in the lyrics and visuals is there is a Chimp playing a violin followed with the lyrics "who does he think he is', this could be saying that the Chimpanzee is imitating the bands music. When the beat in the music comes in, the camera switches back to another long shot of the band performing again. It then cuts to another shot of the Chimpanzee's controlling the cameras which then cuts back to Patrick in the spotlight, this could be showing him as the star image. Throughout the music video most of the lighting is very dark and you can notice that the room is foggy when the lights are on.
The next important shot is a of the guitarist spinning out of control which cuts to the Chimpanzee looking distressed which cuts back to the the guitarist looking confused as if he did something wrong. The Chimp then takes this Guitar and shows him what to do. This is mocking a director since they would usually complain about whats wrong with a video and try to do it themselves. The next array of shots are of what looks like the band taking a break from the music video, this is shown by the band members getting some food and playing chess with the Chimps. This makes it looks like the chimps are imitating humans. The way Patrick and the orangutan are playing chess could show that humans and the chimps are in competition.
The next significant shots show the humans getting into fights with the chimps and it looks as if they are getting replaced by the chimps or that they are trying to show them how to play, which is acting like human directors. After this a close-up of a band member getting his make-up done by some chimps, this connotes that he is ready to start performing. It then cuts to an establishing shot of the band performing on set. The next scene is another part that matched the lyrics and visuals. When a member of the band is waiting in a hotel room a woman walks in and the lyrics say "They say I only think in the form of crunching numbers, in hotel rooms collecting page six lovers". The mise en scene also fits with the scene for this part of the song because of the a dress a woman is wearing and the fact the room is the colour red gives of a promiscuous atmosphere. This is an example of voyeurism which is a part of Goodwin's theory. The next main scene is the Chimpanzee replacing the band member who is sitting with the girl, however the girl doesn't act like she notices and they continue what they were doing. This could connote that the Chimpanzee's are again replacing the band or seen as humans. It then cuts back to a long shot of the band playing again on set with their instruments.
At the conclusion of the video, you see the band all playing together whilst the Chimpanzee and the girl are sitting in the directors chairs watching the video. Everything seems to be going fine until the Chimpanzee begins playing with the girls hair, this then shows the guitarist get annoyed and show he is fed up with these Chimpanzee's taking over. He shows this by smashing everything around and throwing his guitar. The video closes with him destroying the B on the sign in the background.

Mood Board
This is the mood board that represents our audience profile. On here we have all sorts of things that relate to the band and what the band like. For example we have and American flag on the mood board since we are meant to be a patriotic American band. We also have pictures of bands that we said we were influenced by to show what we wish to end up like. We have clothing as well to show the attire that we would wear.

Location Shots
These are some of the location shots that we took on our photo-shoot. These also show a variety of areas that range from inside to outside. Some of these photographs can be very useful again for when I am making my digipak and poster because of the professional look that they have.
Photoshoot
These are our pictures from our first photo-shoot that we had done. We decided to take a bit of variety, this can be seen by us having outside shots and inside ones. I personally prefer the inside shots that we had taken, I felt that they looked very professional and will come in handy for my digipak and poster and also for showing when present our pitch.

Lyrics Analysis
This is the analysis of the lyrics for our song choice of 'The Pretender'. We started from the top and began pitching in idea on what we thought we could do for the certain section of the song. We separated our ideas by putting one persons on the left and the others on the right. This should hopefully help us when creating our storyboard for our music video.
